Project - Completion

Being so close to completion feels good, but stressful at the same time, as i frantically try to tidy everything up and make sure it works.

I haven't kept up on development blogs as much as I maybe should've, but a lot of that is down to working away at a lot of things, including this project. I still could've and really should've done some more, but they really wouldn't have been that interesting honestly. As well as in a lot of the cases, development of most areas was across multiple days, split up, I felt it was harder to keep track, however that would've made for a great opportunity to come back and edit a post adding in the little bits i did or tried in that area. Oh well, we're here now, anyways...

After weeks of work on the newer design created its all coming together and while i definitely could be happier about what it contains, it could definitely be a lot worse. I am glad that I managed to create what I have especially after having to change the project up quite late into the overall time that was given and even though I changed a bunch and there's a few bits of the original plan missing here and there, the project i have still fits into that original plan.

My tagline for this project has practically become "early build", and in that to conclude the piece written above - This version fits the original plan in a way that it is an early version and in the projected later versions more would be added; more levels, more story and more functions such as abilities, enemies and item collection with score.

On the subject of things missing, the one thing I am currently most disappointed with is not understanding and not being able to learn how to use the animator in Unity. I'm missing out on making this version of the game look that tiny bit nicer because i cant figure out how to access the animations that were kind of given with the asset I acquired for the character. Although there is apparently animations for it, while trying to figure out how to access them and make them work correctly, I was losing my mind.

Overall, I'm happy the project is coming to completion because however stressful it may have been and although I still believe it could've been a lot better, I am somewhat proud of the result and feel like the suffering was almost worth it, haha.
