Project - Story Idea Overhaul
Having thought about my original idea for this game, I felt that with the remaining time I had and the situation globally, i would not be able to create the game in the same way I had originally planned.
This caused for me to almost completely change the layout of the game's scenes;
The new plan incorporates more scenes than the minimum requirement for the project, however, I feel like this creates a slight balance as many of the 'levels' feel quite short, especially as you will only be going from one end to another.
There are no enemies to battle as i do not feel I am knowledgeable and/or skilled enough to currently implement this feature in the remaining time given. If this was a full game, it would also not make sense for there to be enemies at this stage in the story.
There are also no collectable items - although i believe i have the ability to code this in, i did not see the need for a score related system in this version as there were no enemies to defeat for score and no real incentive or major level completion to award score, therefore it'd be pointless.
The comparison i had in mind is that it is similar to some flash style games you play online - An early version that when you get to a certain point ends and informs you that there is no more content or that the full version is 'available here' where you may have to sign up or purchase the 'premium upgrade'.
I feel as though this idea can be used to explain why the game is realistically short and lacks many previously planned content, as to be fair, it is truthful.. It's an early version.
